I am a freelance researcher for the UK magazine A Place in the Sun, based on the television series of
the same name
(www.channel4.com/4homes/ontv/place_in_the_sun).
The publishers of A Place in the Sun are launching a quarterly international property guide this August,
with property from more than than 30 countries, ranging in price from around USD 3,500 to USD 20
million.
I am contacting you for two reasons:
a) To request details of around 12 homes currently on your books in regions that would interest
British buyers. Please email at least one print-quality digital image per property. We
particularly value properties in attractive and accessible areas.
b) To find out if you would be willing to contribute an expert commentary on property trends in your
region. If you are able to supply information on climate, airline/ferry routes, mortgages, tax,
residency and visas, that would also be very useful to us.
*We do not charge a fee* to publish your featured properties or editorial comment, and you will be
credited for any content we use.
A Place in the Sun is the best-selling overseas property magazine in Britain by a vast margin, so an
entry in this sister publication would almost certainly generate interest in your agency.
The deadline for properties from your region is July 22nd, but I'd be grateful if you would send details as
soon as possible. Please select up to 12 attractive properties from across your geographical and price
ranges. Property styles can range from apartments and town houses to villas and country farmhouses. (If you
already have properties featured in A Place in the Sun magazine, we'd be grateful if you would kindly supply a fresh
selection, as we do not intend to duplicate content in the two titles.)
I suggest sending 6cm x 4cm high-quality JPEGs at 300dpi; this would make them about 500Kb each. (Please
do NOT email Web images, which are only 72dpi).
